Early this year Kaiser Permanente notified all employees and the Unions that they would be recognizing Martin Luther King, Jr. Day as a designated holiday.

Governor Newsom signed Senate Bill 114 ("SB 114"), which requires employers that employ more than 25 employees to provide California employees with paid sick time for COVID-19 related absences.

As the variant continues to spread and hospitalizations are increasing across the state, Kaiser Permanente and OPEIU Local 30 have successfully reached agreement on incentive pay for certain classifications. While each and every worker is essential in the delivery of care, it has been decided at this time that the classifications listed will be given premium pay for additional shifts.
