Great news! Because of our hard work as a Coalition, our 2023 PSP payout will be $2,220 for any OPEIU Local 30 member with at least 1,800 compensated hours in SCAL (workers with less than 1,800 compensated hours will receive a prorated amount). That's over $720 dollars more than the $1,500 minimum we negotiated in our National Agreement last fall!
The only reason we are getting this is because we fought for it and put in hard work to achieve our performance goals. When Kaiser does well, we deserve to do well. After last year, when Kaiser denied us our PSP because it failed to meet its financial goals, we vowed we would never again let that happen. We held the largest healthcare worker strike in US history, making global and national headlines. Then, bam! Kaiser agreed to a guaranteed minimum PSP payout for this year and the years to come. Our unity and strength made this happen. In SCAL our $2,220 should show up in our March 8, 2024, paycheck. If it doesn't, let your rep or steward know.

In August we came to you and asked if you were ready to strike. You overwhelmingly told us yes. We hoped that would be enough to convince Kaiser to bargain with us in good faith, but after their divisive and inadequate economics proposal, it's clear we need to take the next step.
Now we need you to speak up again and vote to authorize a strike. And while last time Kaiser let us come to you, this time they are making you come to us. To make your voice heard, to make it count, you must come to one of these locations this week and cast your vote to strike.
Kaiser Makes Divisive, Sorely Inadequate Raise Proposal
September 7, 2023
Despite making $3 billion in profits in just the first six months of this year, Kaiser’s millionaire executives are trying to divide frontline workers instead of working with us to solve the crisis in patient care by providing raises that keep up with the cost of living for ALL of our members.
Kaiser’s Offensive Proposal:
None of these proposed raises are acceptable. They wouldn’t even come close to helping us keep up with the skyrocketing cost of living.
