Dear Local 30 Member,

 

I am very pleased to be sending you this Local 30 Scholarship Fund application.  Once again, the members of our Scholarship Committee have worked very hard to bring our members this wonderful benefit.  If you, or a member of your immediate family is currently attending College, or will be this fall then this Union benefit is just in time.

 

Enclosed please find the scholarship application form, a copy of the rules, and other information about this program.  You are welcome to send in one application for each eligible family member.  Acceptance letter or school registration information must be attached to the application and submitted to the Local 30 office by September 30, 2016, to be eligible for the Scholarship drawing.  Please be sure to apply as soon as possible.  We will draw the winners at our October General Membership meetings.

 

With the cost of higher education at an all time high, any financial assistance will help.  This is yet another benefit designed for Local 30 members and their families.

Last weekend the Labor Council held its annual Awards in Excellence Dinner honoring Labor Leader Lisa Fair (ATU #1309) and Union of the Year Teamsters #542 (Secretary-Treasurer Jaime Vasquez) and a number others who work hard every day to strengthen our labor movement.
