An organization of employees formed to bargain with an employer, following the guiding principle that by working collectively, more can be accomplished. Today’s Unions are no different, and are certainly no less needed.
On August 18th, 2011 President Goodwin and the International staff held the first over OPEIU Nurses’ Council seminar in Seattle Washington.
Over sixty nurses and licensed vocational nurses from around the country represented their constituencies at this seminar. The OPEIU International union represents nurses around the country.
The members of Local 30 have re-elected their leadership team to continue the work of leading their Union through 2014.
From well attended membership meetings in July where nominations for officers were held, through the election process in August and September, the message was loud and clear; Local 30 members approve of the jobs their leaders are doing
